New United Goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard Get No. 34
According to manutd.com, New signing Anders Lindegaard has now been registered with the Premier League and will wear the no.34 shirt for the Reds.
The 26-year-old Danish goalkeeper's arrival from Norwegian side Aalesund FK was announced back in November, but he officially joined the Reds this week when the January transfer window opened.

He is now eligible to play for United in domestic competition and would be available, if selected, for Sunday's FA Cup third round tie with Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Manchester United vs Stoke City Preview
According to blogs.bettor.com, Manchester United scored a hard-fought win against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday when Javier Hernandez came on to score the much needed winner. The Red Devils will be looking to extend their lead at the top when they host Stoke City on Tuesday.
Manchester United have not been at their best this season while playing away from home, and the win against West Brom was just their second away win this season. The league leaders return to Old Trafford after two away games to take on the Potters.
Manchester United may have suffered in away games, but they been remarkable at home. The Red Devils have so far dropped just two points at Old Trafford this season, getting 28 out of 30 possible points – that is five points better than defending champions Chelsea. If Manchester United manage to win Tuesday’s match, they will be five points ahead of Arsenal and three ahead of Manchester City. Arsenal have played one game more than United, and City have played two games more.
If United win, it will be their sixth consecutive win against Stoke. The last match in which the two teams met, last October, had a number of similarities to United’s recent game against West Brom. United took the lead in that game just as they did against the Baggies, followed by Gary Neville getting lucky not to be sent off the field, and then an equalizer from the home team – and last but not least, it was Hernandez who came on as a sub to score the winner in both games. Manchester United Vs. Sunderland Preview

Both sides come into the festive period in good spirits. Manchester United find themselves top of the Premier League and with a relatively kind draw in the last sixteen of the Champions League. Meanwhile, Sunderland harbour genuine hopes of a European spot themselves and should Steve Bruce's side carry their form into the second half of the campaign, there is every chance that it might just happen.
Having said that, the statistics indicate that the chances of Sunderland pulling off a famous victory are slim. The Mackems have not won at Old Trafford since 1968 and last beat United ten years ago in a League Cup tie. Last season, Anton Ferdinand's late own-goal denied Bruce's side a memorable win in the corresponding fixture.
The Black Cats will also have to contend with the fact that Manchester United remain the only unbeaten team in the country. Sir Alex Ferguson's side have rarely hit top form this season, but have yet to lose in 16 Premier League games and will feel that there is little reason not to extend that run on Sunday.
United are sitting pretty at the top of the table, two points ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand. Ferguson will be aware that perhaps their main danger on Sunday will be a sense of over-confidence and should they suffer from complacency, Sunderland have shown that they have enough quality about them to take advantage. However, Bruce looks like he will have to contend with a number of absentees from his squad as he returns to the club at which he made a name for himself as a player.
The Sunderland boss has taken a realistic approach ahead of the game, saying "We know what to expect, it will be difficult. But I always enjoy going back, even if I do come back with my backside kicked."
Certainly Ferguson will hope to send his former captain back to Wearside nursing his wounds.
